The Rouch Family in Zambia

July/Aug/Sept 2005

Dear Pastor and Church,

We’re Back in the U.S.A.

What a blessing to have arrived safely back in the U.S.A. to be greeted in Chicago by Tressa’s Sister and Mother at the airport!!! We spent the first few weeks trying to adjust to all of the choices we have here in America, as well as visit our kids, parents, and the rest of our family. We have started the routine medical examinations and eye exams. We have now started our travel schedule to report and visit new churches. Taylor has started to home school for 9th grade as we believe it is important for us to travel together as a family during this furlough to visit our co-laborers.

Furlough Schedule/DVD Report Available

With the incredible continuing rise of gasoline prices, we are all concerned about making wise decisions concerning reporting. We have the vehicle, and we are prepared to travel and report in person, unless you prefer to receive our report by way of a DVD which we have prepared for that purpose. Our schedule is filling in quickly, but we would of course love to report and visit with you if you would like to have us. Please contact us through email at crrouch@aol.com or by cell phone at (417) 350-3382 if you would like to schedule a visit or receive a DVD Rouch/Zambia ministry report.

In Zambia

Five of the national pastors were trained to use email before we left, and we are hearing from them on a weekly basis. God continues to bless, and one new church has been started in the Copperbelt province since we left. Here’s an email excerpt:

Dear Preacher, I greet you and your family in Jesus name. My family and I are doing fine. I received your email and it was so good to hear from you. The works are okey, expecially here at the main work. This Sunday we will be baptizing more than 10 believers who will be added to the church. Continue praying for the church plot. I was told to go back to them on this coming month end again. Also pray for this problem we are facing with the Kafulu preacher. Pray so much that God will meet our needs in this work, for our ministry seems to be now growing. I asked you last time if the student in Bible school are going to be given handout syllabus, for it is easy to learn this way for them. I need to know how to do this, so they can only be filling in gabs. If the plot issue doesn't workout up to January, what is your advice as where we can be having our Bible classes. Thank you so much for your prayers. We too are praying for you everyday that God will use you mightily as you visit the churches. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Greet everyone there.
In Christ's harvest,
Pastor Cheelo

Pastor John Nsange:  How are you Preacher? How is your family? Greetings from Kasaria Newtestament Baptist Church. I John am doing a little fine. My wife is not doing so fine. If you and your family are fine, may God be praised. We are praying for you, continue praying for us. We had our first  Lord's Supper last Sunday on 18th September 2005. Precher, Thank you, I am currently at the institute, so get back to me before I go back home.

Special Prayer Requests

  • Taylor (and Mom) as we tackle home schooling for the first time!
  • Charles as he continues to struggle with severe back problems which began just before furlough.
  • Zambian pastors and their families.
  • Land/buildings for Zambian churches.

We appreciate you all so very much for your faithful prayer and financial support to us and this ministry. God bless you!
