The Rouch Family in Zambia

March/April/May 2006

Dear Pastor, Church Family & Friends,

March/April/May 2006

Philippians 4:10a We will soon be returning home to Zambia, as our time Stateside is quickly coming to an end. We think back over a tiring but fruitful furlough. The Lord has blessed with several new supporting churches joining the team! We have met and made good friends with so many of you as we visited churches. “Thank you” to all of you who graciously opened your homes, provided great meals, helped with special needs, and became true partners with us in Zambia. None of us enjoy 30,000 miles of driving while home on furlough, but there is still much to be said for co-laboring congregations and missionaries taking time to get to know each other – somewhat like the early churches and missionaries in the book of Acts. We are so thankful for each of you……may the Lord richly bless you!

On May 6th, Charles had the privilege to perform the wedding for our daughter, Rachel, who married Bryan Hunt, a young preacher from South Carolina. They are both seniors and will graduate from Atlantic Baptist Bible College in December, 2006. Taylor, our youngest, is finishing 9th grade this week and preparing to return to Zambia with us.

Please continue to pray concerning the value of the dollar in Zambia. We are praising the Lord that the rate has increased slightly in the past few weeks. The churches and pastors in Zambia are doing well and are continuing evangelistic efforts in our absence. We ask you to pray specifically for Gospel Light Baptist in Ndola. They desperately need a property of their own to build on or buy a house to turn into a church building. One of our first goals when returning will be trying to expedite that project. Thank you to all of you who are co-laborers with us for the souls of the Zambian people. God bless you for your constant prayers and support.

We close by sending you a family photo of our children, their spouses and our granddaughter, Noah. We are excited that we will be grandparents again soon, as Noah (on Grammy’s lap) will soon be a big sister to our second granddaughter, Cale Micheale Rouch! Of course, we will keep you posted on that awesome event!

Our next letter will be from Zambia. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel.
